Brenda Brown
REACH Rehabilitation Program Coordinator
Brenda Brown, PT, MPT, CFPS, is a physical therapist with over 20 years of experience specializing in neurological rehabilitation across a variety of clinical settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutritional Sciences from Seattle Pacific University and her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Rockhurst University.
Brenda spent 12 years at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience working in six different physical therapy departments, with a primary focus on neurological rehabilitation. She has been part of the REACH Rehabilitation program for the past eight years and has served as Program Coordinator for the last three, playing a key role in expanding the program while supporting participants, families, and staff.
In addition to her work in outpatient rehabilitation, Brenda has provided neurological home health physical therapy throughout her career, broadening her experience across the continuum of care.
Brenda is a Certified Fall Prevention Specialist (CFPS) and is passionate about promoting safety, mobility, and independence for individuals with neurological conditions. She also co-authored an aquatic physical therapy manual, reflecting her commitment to advancing clinical practice and sharing evidence-based rehabilitation strategies with fellow clinicians.
Brenda’s professional commitment is complemented by her personal experience as a caregiver. At a young age, she helped care for her grandfather and later became a caregiver for her mother. These experiences have deepened her appreciation for the challenges faced by patients and families and continue to shape her compassionate, person-centered approach to rehabilitation and care.
